CELTIC CHALLENGE 2013

After cycling from Aberystwyth to Fishguard, a short but hilly distance of 62 miles, the group crossed over by ferry to Rosslare. After arriving at the port, we had a short 12 mile cycle ride to the hotel in Wexford where we enjoyed a pleasant evening meal and a few pints of Guiness.

The following day the group cycled 92 miles along the stunning Irish coast stopping to take in the sights along the way to the port of Dublin, before taking the ferry to Holyhead. After the second overnight stop in Holyhead the group departed on the last 110 mile leg of the journey through Snowdon national park taking in some of the best nature Wales has to offer, including the breath-taking Cader Idris before finishing the celebrations in Aberystwyth

The weekend was a real test of skill, endurance and determination for riders with a reasonable level of fitness, providing a memorable cycling experience, a great laugh and the best scenery and culture Wales and Ireland had to offer!
